30.03.2007. - Mweh

Weeeeell, not much ranting going on lately, yeah, I know, but hey, the updates have been regular lately....some ... they're there anyway... From next week I'll be trying to turn the comic into a biweekly updating thing =) Episodes-wise not just ranting I mean =)so , stay tuned, you might soon even find out who the two lovely broads residing at the side of the "One Year Old" poster might be =) As far as the poster is concerned, and the St. Patrick's wallpaper, they'll, most likely be available in some wallpaper version next week too. Which also means that there will be a gallery downloads section ,yaaaaaaay...oh bollocks, I'm just being cheerful so I don't go mad from php.

Which brings me to the second part of this little rant, upgrades ! I'm dabbling around that god forsaken php, and am sad to report I'm too much of an idiot to learn it... which doesn't mean I won't keep trying. Anyway... There's a slight chance you might see at least a comment leaving gadget on the home page, before I change the design, just to see how it works. The site is ...apparently growing =) Well, don't look at me, it's your fault =) and thank you =) The number of readers since I started updating again seems to have doubled, which makes me happy, which in turn makes me want to draw more and build more, which in turn will hopefully make this site an even better place to visit =) See you Monday

28.03.2007. - B-day

I needed to put this up, and thank my dear good friend Tamara for my birthday present from her. I just love the way she draws and always love to see things she comes up with so this really made me happy to see =) Thanks duckie =*

28.03.2007. - Pseudo celebration

It's been a year since I started this site. Unfortunately, I was unable to maintain my updates for most of the year, so it's only just recently that I've returned to a regular update routine, but I assure you it's here to stay. I'm inclined to believe my "art" has slightly improved over the course of last year, in all skills, from 3d modeling, illustration and design. But that's most likely just my wishful thinking.

What does the new year bring ? Well, the picture splattered across the site is a decent enough preview. Other than that, there might be some changes in the art, and the website will is in the process of getting a full workover as I'm slowly but surely learning the voodoo ways of php. So the site should get a little more dynamic and all with a few new gizmos and gadgets. If anyone bothered to look for the rss feed, they will have noticed, that I didn't even bother to update it even though I've been updating again for the last two months. Mostly this is because the site is static, I do everything manually. The one little dynamic bit of code on the page is the comic sorter, written for me by my good friend and code genius Sulien. So, my efforts are turning to giving the site less maintainance while making it do a lot more than it is now.

Before I bore the last person reading this, off the site, I'd just like to thank everyone who visited the site. I know it has nothing to do with how good the comic is and more with how many people visit my kitty's deviantart page and follow her silly huge button to my page =) ,thanks kitty. But anyway, the number of visitors seems to have grown for a good 50% in the last two months so, kinda hoping it's a good sign, again, most likely my wishful thinking. Anyway, as I was saying, thank you everybody. Seeing someone at least, occasionally, stops by the site gives me a reason to post the episodes. Thank you.

More rants probably to follow this week, new episode Monday

19.03.2007. - Rundown

Quick edit - another late start and headache, naussia, things you get when you're in a place with too little air and one of the cattle you live with smokes. There'll most likely be a b/w version in some 4 hours, but no color until tomorrow again I'm afraid ...sorry, again. It's not gonna turn into a habit, just have more and more stuff to do.

17.03.2007. - The only non hypocritical holiday

Happy st. Patrick's day everybody

16.03.2007. - Civic duty

I just wanted to wish my good friend Ivana a happy birthday. Hope all your wishes come true ^^

In another note, you might wanna stop by the site tomorrow people ^^

12.03.2007. - Public service announcement - suplemental

the training has left me wasted and drained, not to mention the god damn smoke I had to endure in this apartment when I got home,so it ain't finished today, I've uploaded the progress here , so you can see how far I've gotten. it'll be done somewhere in the morning. *collapses to sleep on the table*

12.03.2007. - Public service announcement

I've been otherwised engaged this weekend and haven't been able to complete the script on time, which in turn lead to the fact that I'm late in production. However, so you don't say I'm making excuses and not delivering anything, I've uploaded the b/w ink version until I finish the color. The final version will either be late in the evening or tomorrow morning. Sorry =( ... and now I have to run to make it in time for training... again ,sorry guys =(

06.03.2007. - Keeping Score - Playing a score

Ok, I think it's pretty much certain now updates will continue regularly from now on, maybe just a wee bit earlier though, cause this way I lose the whole day Monday and then have to run to make it in time for the training. Anyway, a great big thanks to everyone visiting

Despite the the rather annoying myspace episode , it's been a pretty good week. and just so you don't say I only complain all the time, this week ...today anyway, I'm presenting some new, promising software. It's called the Songbird, adding to the great web aviary of applications. It's an amusing blend of a web browser and a audio-video management program like iTunes. It's based on the gecko engine, which if I'm not mistaken is the same one we so very much love and enjoy in firefox...god knows why not start from Opera, but let's not be too picky, specially if I'm not =)

The other part is an audio playing software, kind of like iTunes, 'cept it works without lag ...sadly it also works with out that cute mode iTunes has where it lists albums in 3d...yeah, I'm an eye candy suckes, sew me ... in as many pieces as you want ... It's being developed by the people that spawned winamp, which I'm almost certain is one of the most used players around. (a moment of silence for the long lost sonique player) Since it's basically firefox with a music player up its crotch, you can change its skin to suit your already over customized windows setup.

So I keep compairing it to iTunes which, works like a dead horse plugged to 220v on a pc, wouldn't know how it works on a mac, but what I forgot to say it's cross platform, ergo, windows, linux, macOS. And has integraded gimmick enhancers like it can import an iTunes library, surf music blogs and display mp3s on them in a list type manner, manage your iPod , play music directly from the web, as if they were local, which so far works pretty decent, although I haven't tried to swamp my bandwith to see how it holds up. Anyway, it's a great app....rather...it just might be a great app in a few months time as the final build is expected some time this year, so word of warning to anyone deciding to download, >>it ain't done people<<

and just on that note it goes off and annoys me ... if you happen to be lucky and have a media keyboard like my logitech's beauty here, that has rewind and FF buttons on it ...well, they don't work. Point goes to iTunes. Although you can ofcourse see the "now playing" interface at the top, you don't see any mark on the song that's playing in the actual library where it's playing from.. point goes to iTunes... Memory-wise, it takes up about as much memory as firefox (one tab open) and winamp together, maybe, just maybe a little less. It'll be interesting to see how that develops 'cause they haven't implemented tabbed browsing into it yet. Cold load is , seemingly just a little less than firefox on my machine, but that's a hell of a lot less than iTunes, point to Songbird.

The society is slowly turning into a web based application, with the web browsers being our reading glasses of the new century. And the last few years, have sprouted several noteable web browsers. Firefox, Opera has gone free, and Mozzila now has more offspring than there are people willing to find out alternatives to Internet Explorer. And lets not forget, internet explorer is very widely popular still, with the "other" browsers covering 5% of the users at most. How exactly, are they planning on succeeding in marketing ANOTHER web browser, that's essentially another mozzila clone with an angle... But, I always support alternatives if I find them worth the trouble, so, that's it for now, can't make an accurate assumption until there's a proper version out. The one they have , is, however functional and works great as long as you use it as an iTuneish player that wastes less gas, loads faster, and/or you don't mind surfing without those modern commodities like tabbed browsing or adblocking... How well will it do, it remains to be seen. So, check out Songbird:

02. 03. 2007 - Rant-o-Matic TM

I've decided to add a rant today because of a recent discovery. You see, I've never before decided to go down the road called 'myspace' on the internet. And being a curious cat that I am, I've decided to give it a go to see what the fuss was about. Having gotten there, the reactions were as follow - intrigue (1-2 seconds until it loaded) shock (5-10 seconds having glanced over everything) offense (having seen the source code) disgust (still there). I would be very appreciative if someone were to tell me ...what exactly is its purpose ? I mean, yes, you could argue that my webcomic page doesn't do much since it's not a very good comic, and there actually was one girl that came up to me asked "what is it for" ... but ... I mean seriously... that site offers nothing but webspace that is used by absolute morons who can't write code and just cause they're given a little webspace and an easy editor that doesn't work very well, much the same way any other automated editor doesn't work well. Now let me promptly apologize to anyone who has a myspace account that CAN actually write code, but my question remains, WHY ? I mean, considering everything, I would be the first person to use it, cause I don't like going out and I like meeting new people online...mostly cause I do it from a comfy lean-back chair and when you send them to the ignore list because they're stupid, you don't have to spend another half hour getting home complaining. Also I don't like smoke, so that pretty much leaves out any possible place for going out. On a happier note, I have found a few music artists hosting their stuff there, and I suppose it's that much justified, cause any and all markets today are very competitive, specially the entertainment industry, so, ok, keep the music, support the artists, always, when we lose art, we lose the last bit of ourselves that's still making us believe human beings are actually civilized...Arguably, some, including more often than not me, might think we've passed that stage a long time ago. I've also consulted the wikipedia to uncover the great mistery that myspace is to me, which has unbiased as always taught me that myspace is really a social networking site... so ... it's ... pretty much an instant messenger without...instant messeges ? When exactly did people go from making fun of "personal ads" to making them and thinking it was the cool new thing. Under risk of threatmail, I urge you, PLEASE, explain to me, WHAT - THE - FUCK - IS - THE - BIG -DEAL ?

*takes deep breath* ah, that's better. Whether you have a myspace account or not, you will, come Monday realize that this rant was in best interest, so I wouldn't have to waste a comic update on this, not to mention ,trying to squeeze all that text into some kind of an semi-entertaining whole. Thanks for reading ...anybody ^^

SUPLEMENTAL
Having read once more what I've written, I've come to a conclusion that maybe, in some very distant, parallel and grotesque universe, I might have overstepped the boundaries of common human decency...and bottom line, I haven't done much digging through the site because the first say fifty pages I've opened have left me shocked, disgusted and weeping over lost bandwith which would have quite frankly been better used by downloading porn...which is what the net was intended for anyway. But anyway... I like arguments as long as they are supported with some facts, so, I really want to hear from you, if you have a myspace account that shows more than your photo, plays an annoying tune I have to find a button to make it stop, your interests which are so cleverly general like "I like to go out with my friends and listen to music" , by all means, send me a link, I would love to see a page that actually has something on it to offer, whether it is entertainment , educational, heck even a well designed site with just pictures of boobs... anything that could justify the existence of a site that completely ignores, then spits in the face of web standards. Mail me ...until I get a forum or shoutboard set up againThank you ...
